Meet our new Public Liaison Assistants Roula & Jack!

Public Liaison Assistants Jack and Roula.

Roula and Jack join the project as Public Liaison Assistants, being on site to help support businesses and residents along the new route.

This week, we introduced two new members of the team to the Trams to Newhaven project. Roula and Jack join the project as Public Liaison Assistants, being on site to help support businesses and residents along the new route.

Roula and Jack both join us from ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ Trams, the current tramline operator, so they will be able to answer not only queries about the current construction but also how the tram will operate once the line is finished.

I have been living in ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ since 2012 and I love it. On days off I like reading, cycling (in fair weather only!) and travelling around to discover more of Scotland.

I have been working for ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ Trams for the past 6 years and I am really excited to join the Trams to Newhaven team.


What parts of your job to you enjoy the most?

Meeting and helping people.

 
What is your role on the project?

To engage with businesses and residents along the tram line in order to resolve any issues that arise and keep them up to date with the progress of the construction works and any impact they might have on them and their business.

Tell us a little about yourself…

I was born and raised in ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ. In my free time I enjoy playing bowls, walking and spending time with friends.

 

Tell us about your career history…

I have been in customer service since I left school, starting in hospitality and moving in to retail finally on to ÌÒÉ«ÊÓÆµ Trams as customer service/revenue protection.

 

What parts of your job do you enjoy the most?

I like the fact I get to deal with such a diverse range of people. All with different issues that may require a different approach than normal to deal with and I do like a bit of problem solving.

 

What is your role on the project?

To be out on site answering questions and resolving issues any of the business or residents may have. Also, to inform them of the help and support available to them.

Roula and Jack will be visiting businesses along the construction area in the in the next coming weeks, likewise if you see them out and about please stop them to say hello!
