Comment or complain about a licensed activity

Make a complaint about a licensed activity

Although most licence holders and licensed premises provide a good and satisfactory service, sometimes there can be concerns.

If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to complain about a licenced activity, we would always recommend making the complaint to the licence holder or company first, as this will normally be investigated and sorted out quickly for you. However,  If this does not resolve your concerns, you can contact us.

The forms below will allow you to provide details of the complaint or concern you wish to share with the licensing service. They will also allow you to attach, where relevant, a photo or other information regarding the complaint.

Please be aware however, that there is a 2MB limit on the size of any pictures uploaded.

Please note that matters of alleged criminality or breaches of road traffic laws should be directed to Police Scotland and not the licensing service

There are 3 forms available

When we receive your complaint, an enforcement officer or a licensing standards officer will contact you to advise you as to the type of action, if any, that we can take. In some cases, we may need to take a witness statement from you.
